Objectives – Mercurius Register

This Register was drawn up in 1995 and is the formal and written presentation of European Union’s Engineers represented by CLAIU-EU, with their academic and professional formation.

This document was prepared to acquaint the Commission with CLAIU’s initiative to contribute significantly towards the free movement of professional engineers, who are citizens of the European Union, and especially within the terms of the Directive on the recognition of professional qualifications of 7th September 2005.

The Register, called MERCURIUS  has been restructured as from 2009 onwards.  It is subdivided into two parts, the first one gives a general description of the engineering education and profession per country, the second one presents the educational institutions with an overview per engineering department of the generic engineering Master degrees represented in CLAIU-EU .
